1 – Tracking Emergence by Maurice Brasher
An important, fundamental appraisal of Emergence (and the distinction between Emergence and Emergent Knowledge) by one of our foremost thinkers on the subject. Maurice is a member of the French EK Group and worked closely with David Grove on the three E’s – emergence, etymology and epistemology. Take a look in the ‘Library’.
2 – The Six-Fibonacci Series by Philip Harland
In his latest article, Philip tells how David Grove and Silvie de Clerck combined the Power of Six with the Fibonacci series of numbers in a creative session of therapy for one of Silvie’s clients in Paris.
3 – Powers of Six workshop – Vancouver, BC, Canada
Matthew Hudson will be presenting a one day workshop on The Powers of Six and Emergence on 15th August 2009. Please email matthew@powersofsix.com for more information on this exciting and informative exploration of Emergent Knowledge.
4 – Emergent Knowledge and Power of Six workshop, Montmartre, Paris, 12-13 MARCH 2010
Philip will be contributing to a major event in the world of Clean, Emergent Knowledge and the Power of Six: a ‘Salon du Printemps’ in the artistic centre of Paris. Details at Jennifer de Gandt’s website, www.innovativepathways.net. To check availability of places and for more details contact jennifer@innovativepathways.net or phone her at (+33) (0)1 45 77 90 30.
5 – Philip’s book ‘The Power of Six: A Six Part Guide to Self Knowledge’ is due to be published in the Autumn. We’ll let you know as soon as we have a date. Meanwhile you can read an updated Introduction and see a draft of the cover on the website (your feedback very welcome). The photograph incorporated into the design was taken at the mountain retreat in New Zealand where Philip and David first worked on the book together. The six-petalled, self-seeding Agapanthus is said to have both magical and medicinal properties!
6 – Thankyou to the many people around the world who are using Matthew’s online self-facilitated ‘Iterator’ process and especially to those of you who sent copies of your transcripts for research purposes. Two of these will appear in the book with the permission of the people involved. We aim to continue to develop the Iterator, so if you have used it over the last year or plan to try it out now we would greatly welcome your feedback.
