SIX fascinating new things to be found on the www.powersofsix.com website!

August 4th, 2008 · No Comments

1 HOW DID EMERGENT KNOWLEDGE EMERGE? WHAT IS SO SPECIAL ABOUT SIX? The ‘Power of Six’ tab on the Home page will take you to a summary of How Clean Language, Symbolic Modelling and Clean Space led to the development of Emergent Knowledge and the Power of Six, with a note on the key principles of the Power of Six process.

2 New to the Library – an inspirational story by Rob McGavock, an American friend and colleague of David Grove. With typical modesty Rob calls it ‘A BRIEF SYNOPSIS OF A HEALING EXPERIENCE THROUGH THE POWER OF SIX’. This is a remarkable and moving account of one man’s experience with the master therapist over a period of sixteen years. Click on the ‘Library’ tab and follow the instructions.

3 Experience the Power of Six process for yourself – click on ‘Library’ and check out ‘THE ITERATOR’, an exclusive online tool developed by Matthew Hudson. Available in English, French, German, Dutch, Turkish, Swedish and Polish to start with (excuse the lack of accents in the software used to create this – we’re working on it). Other languages will follow. All you have to do is type into the on-screen box something you would like to work on and answer the online questions. If you wish the system will email your process back to you in complete confidence. The Iterator is very much in the spirit of David Grove’s mission to make his work simple, teachable and transferable, with the aim of considerably reducing the client’s direct dependence on the therapist or facilitator.

4 After trying out the basic version you could go on to ‘THE ITERATOR II’, an advanced tool that will take you through a full Power of Six process - a session of six sets of questions, each set slightly different. But be aware that you’ll need up to an hour of undisturbed time to explore yourself using this.

5 HISTORY IN THE MAKING. A fascinating analysis by Philip Harland of David Grove at work, showing the first stirrings of Emergent Knowledge in David’s use of Clean Language and Clean Space with a client a few years back. Go to the ‘Library’ and click on Philip’s latest article, ‘Emerging’.

6 Once you have read the articles or tried out ‘THE ITERATOR’… please give us YOUR FEEDBACK. One key Power of Six question to ask yourself at intervals is: ‘What do I know now compared to what I knew at the start?’ or ‘And what is the difference between what I know now and what I knew at the start?’ Click on ‘Contact’ and fill in the online form or email us at info@powersofsix.com
